The JSZ type brake wheel serpentine spring coupling is embedded with serpentine spring plates axially in two halves by more than 36%. The serpentine spring plate with trapezoidal cross-section is made of spring steel, which has undergone strict heat treatment and processing. It has good mechanical properties, which greatly increases the service life of the serpentine spring coupling compared to non-metallic elastic component couplings (such as elastic sleeve pin, nylon rod pin coupling).
2. Capable of withstanding a wide range of variable loads, starting
The tooth surfaces of the two half couplings in contact with the spring are curved. As the transmitted torque increases, the spring plates will deform along the tooth surfaces, causing the force points of the two half couplings acting on the spring plates to approach. The contact point between the spring and the tooth surface, i.e. the change in torque, varies with the magnitude of transmitted torque, and its transmission characteristics are variable stiffness. Therefore, it has a greater load variation than general elastic couplings can withstand. The buffering effect generated when the transmission force causes the spring to deform along the tooth arc, especially during machine startup or impact load, has a protective effect on the supporting components to a certain extent.

The transmission efficiency of a brake wheel type coupling has a short-term overload capacity of twice the rated torque and stable operation.
