Snake shaped spring coupling is an advanced metal elastic coupling that relies on snake shaped spring plates to transmit torque. Snake shaped spring coupling is the most advanced shaft connection transmission component in the international mechanical industry today, and is also a very common shaft connection transmission component. There are nine types of snake shaped spring couplings, including JS shell radial installation type (basic type) snake shaped spring coupling, JSB shell axial installation type snake shaped spring coupling, JSS double flange connection type snake shaped spring coupling, JSD single flange connection type snake shaped spring coupling, SJS intermediate shaft type snake shaped spring coupling, JSG high-speed snake shaped spring coupling, JSZ brake wheel type snake shaped spring coupling. The main structure of a serpentine spring coupling is composed of two half couplings, two half casings, two sealing rings, and serpentine spring plates. It relies on the insertion of snake springs into the grooves of the two halves of the coupling to transmit torque. The coupling uses snake shaped spring plates embedded in the grooves of the two halves of the coupling to achieve the connection between the driving shaft and the driven shaft. During operation, the driven end is driven by the axial force of the active end teeth on the snake spring to transmit torque, which greatly avoids resonance phenomenon. Moreover, the elastic variables generated by the spring during torque transmission enable the mechanical system to achieve good vibration reduction effect, with an average vibration reduction rate of over 36%.
