Structural characteristics of JS type casing radial installation coupling:

1. The snake shaped spring coupling has a simple structure and is easy to assemble and disassemble. The whole machine has fewer parts, smaller volume, and lighter weight. The spring plate designed as a trapezoidal section is particularly convenient and tight to fit with the trapezoidal tooth groove, making assembly, disassembly, and maintenance easier than ordinary couplings.

2. Transmission, operation. The transmission of the coupling has a short-term overload capacity of twice the rated torque for operation.

3. Capable of withstanding a wide range of variable loads. The tooth surfaces of the two half couplings in contact with the spring are curved. As the transmitted torque increases, the spring plates will deform along the tooth surfaces, causing the force points of the two half couplings acting on the spring plates to approach. The contact point between the spring and the tooth surface, i.e. the change in torque, varies with the magnitude of transmitted torque, and its transmission characteristics are variable stiffness. Therefore, it has a greater load variation than general elastic couplings. The buffering effect generated by the transmission force that causes the spring to deform along the tooth arc, especially during machine start-up or impact load, greatly protects the supporting components.

4. Low noise, good lubrication. The aluminum alloy housing protects the spring from being thrown out during operation, and the housing is filled with butter, which not only provides good lubrication but also absorbs the noise of the spring engagement by butter damping.

5. Good vibration damping and long service life. The coupling is embedded in the grooves of two half coupling sections axially with serpentine spring plates, and torque is transmitted through the grooves of the embedded two half coupling sections. The snake shaped spring plate is made of spring steel, which has undergone strict heat treatment and processing. It has good mechanical properties, which greatly increases the service life of the coupling compared to non-metallic elastic component couplings (such as elastic sleeve pin couplings, nylon rod pin couplings).

6. Allow for significant installation deviations. Due to the point contact between the spring plate and the tooth surface, the coupling can achieve greater flexibility. It can be installed and operate normally with radial, angular, and axial deviations simultaneously.
